8MM is unique in more ways than one. Or two. In 2020 8MM opened up its own distillery north of Berlin and produces it own Gin, Vodka, beloved haus-schnaps Melloch, and soon its own Whisky.

This allows 8MM to be one of the few bars in Berlin, if not the world, that currently recycles all of its most beloved beer and spirit bottles. This innovation has reduced glass waste at 8MM Bar by 50% since 2020. Furthermore, part of the profits of the distillery go right back into the festival, and supporting local wildlife in Mecklenburg Vorpommern, where the distillery resides and distills with 100% renewable energy.
