A label started by a little bar in east Berlin, Germany…. Originally founded in 2006 by Alex "Olli" Remzi to nurture the underground music scene evolving about the 8MM Bar in Berlin, it expanded to include organising and hosting events and festivals such a SYNÄSTHESIE Festival every fall. In 2021, 8MM Musik hosted its final SYNÄSTHESIE Festival, with an epic lineup featuring The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Beak>, A Place to Bury Strangers, Anika, The KVB, Automatic and many more. In December 2021, the company metamorphosed to the Synästhesie Festival gGmbH to continue to promote the festival and unique original live music in Berlin , and 8MM Destillerie GmbH, aka the Old Well Distillery, to pursue Remzi’s other passion.
