Salon Oblique returns to present a unique performance from UK based artist Bianca Scout as part of the Vorspiel / transmediale & CTM.
Trained dancer and self taught musician Bianca Scout creates blunted after-hours chopped-n-screwed sacred music. Creating landscapes heavy in the themes of pastoral memory, displacement, yearning and the undead. The use of story telling, movement direction, painful rhythms and spellbinding narcotic chorals in Scout’s compositions invoke a collage of worlds that leave ripples in the recipient’s emotional pool.

Following impressive collaborations and releases with artists such as Space Afrika, Klein, Coby Sey, Mica Levi, Ben Vince, and Elena Isolini. Bianca Scout’s latest record will be with First Terrace Records on 20th January 2023 - ‘The Heart of the Anchoress' a folk album that feels philosophically lashed to the club, yet makes none of the usual broad strokes it takes to get our minds there. Scout avoids the most obvious references, opting to tarnish more distant pasts with a musical vocabulary that's as informed by contemporary pop as it is experimental forms.
